Fort Deposit Police are still searching for four black males who bailed out of a vehicle following a high-speed chase Friday night.

Fort Deposit Police Chief Brandon Thomas said no arrest had been made as of Monday, but that his department had a “good lead.”

Thomas said the Friday night manhunt ensued after an attempted stop for a “traffic violation” led to a “high speed car chase” up Interstate 65 to Alabama Highway 97 where “four black males bailed out of the vehicle” and fled into a wooded area.

Thomas also said on Friday that the Department of Corrections K-9 unit and the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office were assisting his department.

More information will be posted as it becomes available.
