Green said that on Aug. 11 of this year, a resident reported his 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe, valued at about $45,000, was stolen from the 900 block of Red Eagle Drive in Lowndesboro.

He said due to investigation with the assistant of the Alabama Bureau of Investigation, Pardons and Paroles, Millbrook Police Department and the Elmore County Sheriff’s Department, “We were able to develop a suspect in the case of a white male named Danny Fair, 41, city of Montgomery.”

He said the suspect was arrested in Millbrook on Monday for the theft of a 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe and remains in custody in the John Hulett Detention Facility on the $30,000 bond.

Green said Fair also faces probation revocation and is on probationary hold by the Alabama Department of Pardons and Paroles.

Green said the victim in this case and his wife are both active duty military members.

“The vehicle was recovered in Elmore County,” Green said. “Basically through the network of our sheriff’s department being able to communicate and work with other agencies throughout, we were able to identify a suspect and make an arrest due to evidence.”

He said the vehicle has been returned to the owner.
