A two vehicle accident on U.S. Highway  80 caused lane closure near Burkeville Thursday. At 5:15 p.m. the road had reopened

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reported that the crash occurred near Lowndes County Road 37 at 3:09 p.m. causing a lane closure. The right, eastbound lane closed near Highway 37 and while crews worked to clear the scene.

Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division investigated the crash. No further information is available at this time.
