The Lowndes Academy first and second grade classes visited the W.A. Gayle Planetarium on March 8 to learn about stars, constellations and each planet in the solar system. With leading-edge, digital-dome technology, students were able to participate in a presentation describing the planets and various constellations and were entertained by a laser show at the conclusion of the day’s activities. The W.A. Gayle planetarium, located in Montgomery’s Oak Park, had been temporarily closed and recently reopened under new management.
