Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

One of the quickest ways to my heart is through food and one of those foods happens to be pasta. I would probably say that I would eat pasta every day for the rest of my life if I had the opportunity.

I have had many different types of pasta from many different restaurants, but one of my favorites has to be the lemon garlic shrimp pasta that I taught myself to make. The recipe is not only quick, but also absolutely delicious and combines two of my favorite items which are shrimp and pasta.

Many of the ingredients in this recipe are more to taste and personal preference but I will still list them all along with the steps to make the dish.

This recipe is super easy to follow along with and will make some of the best pasta you could ever imagine.

Ingredients

  • Thawed large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • Garlic powder
  • Garlic salt
  • Olive oil
  • Old Bay
  • Cajun seasoning (optional)
  • 1 ½ cup lemon juice
  • Parsley flakes
  • Lemon pepper seasoning (optional)
  • Angel hair noodles
  • Butter
  • Minced garlic

Preparation

First, pat the shrimp dry with a paper towel so the seasoning will stick better. Season shrimp with garlic powder, garlic salt, Old Bay, Cajun seasoning, and lemon pepper. Make sure to evenly coat all shrimp and put the seasoned shrimp to the side. After that, fill a boiler with water and bring it to a boil. Once water has begun to boil, use a bit of the Old Bay and garlic powder in the water then pour in half a cup of lemon juice. Then add the noodles to the water to cook. Move on to the shrimp while the noodles cook. Pour olive oil into a heated pan before adding the shrimp in a single layer. Add some minced garlic into the pan as well and cook the shrimp until it is tender and opaque. Once the shrimp is ready, remove it from the heat until the noodles are finished. After the noodles are done, strain them and add the remaining lemon juice to the pan with the shrimp. Put the pan back on the heat and let the juice simmer for a few minutes, stirring occasionally. Finally, turn off the heat, add the noodles to the pan, and top with the parsley flakes.

You are now ready to serve your delicious pasta.

Enjoy the meal!
