Gordon voted Lowndes County Athlete of the Week

Central High School Freshman J’Vion Gordon is voted as Lowndes County Athlete of the Week for Week 14.
Abby Lovell is the ultimate team player with a strong work ethic, scoring 14 points and grabbing seven rebounds in Lowndes Academy’s basketball game against Chambers Academy.
Keltrice Orum is a Senior and cheerleader at The Calhoun School.

J’Vion Gordon was voted as Lowndes County’s Athlete of the Week for Week 14 on Jan. 9. He is a Freshman at Central High School in Hayneville and a member of the Lions basketball team. Gordon had 16 points in the Lion’s junior varsity basketball game against Sidney Lanier . He won this week’s award by receiving 70%, 140 out of 201, of the votes.
Keltrice Orum of The Calhoun School and Abby Lovell from Lowndes Academy were also nominated for their athleticism and setting the standard for excellence on and off the court. Congratulations to Gordon and all athletes nominated this week.
Athlete of the Week is made possible by the joint efforts of The Lowndes Signal and Lowndes County Public Schools Athletic Director Nickles Rankins, and through the cooperation of the coaches and administration of Central High School, Lowndes Academy, and The Calhoun School.
