After completing a record-breaking season, six Lowndes Academy football players will be given one last chance to play high school football this year as they travel to Crampton Bowl to compete in the Alabama Independent Schools Association (AISA) All-Stars football game.

The Rebels’ head coach Shane Moye was chosen to be a coach for the All-Stars team and said this year’s player selection was a record breaker for Lowndes Academy.

“We have players chosen every year just never this many,” Moye said. “Last year we had three and the year before that we had two. We’ve never had more than three chosen as long as I’ve been around.”

The All-Star game will feature two teams, East and West, players of which have all been nominated and designated as top performers at their respective schools.

The players chosen to represent Lowndes Academy at the game include Cooper Dansby, Kasen Dismukes, Nick Dougan, Jase Howard, Clayton Hussey, and Scott Stinson. Moye said that during the game Stinson, Hussey, and Dougan will function as offensive players while Dansby, Dismukes, and Howard will function as defensive players.

This year’s All-Star team will be the third that Moye has coached and he said he is excited for the opportunity to be a part of the event again.

“These kids are the best of the best in our whole league,” Moye expressed. “It’s cool to be around the other coaches and hang out, and it’s a good time for the boys to hang out with new kids for their last time to play high school football. It’s a neat little deal.”

The All-Star game will take place on Nov. 30 with introductions at 6 p.m. and kickoff at 6:30 p.m. In order to attend this event individuals must purchase a ticket from S2 Pass, an app which can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play. There will not be a cash gate at this event. General admission is $10.98 per ticket, sales tax and processing fee included, for attendees 1st grade and up. Cramton Bowl is a clear bag facility, and all fans in attendance will be metal detected.
