Briggs expressed a great deal of excitement about her future sports endeavors and said that for her, playing at the college level is a “dream come true”.

“I am excited to play at the next level,” Briggs said. “I have been working really hard since seventh grade playing school ball and since ninth grade playing travel volleyball. Volleyball has been my top sport and I am very happy to finally make my dream come true.”

According to Haney, Coastal Alabama Community College volleyball Coach Steven Dickey will gain a total asset to his team in the fall with the addition of Briggs.

“Coach Dickey won the lottery with Haley,” Haney explained. “She will do an amazing job on and off the court. Haley will be incredibly missed this coming fall. I am looking forward to seeing her shine at the college level. “

Briggs gave thanks to all those who have supported her along the way in pursuit of furthering her athletic career and said she is looking forward to her new position on the Coyotes volleyball team.

“I want to mention my parents and my brother for being by my side in supporting me through this journey,” Briggs said. “My teammates at Lowndes have been very special to me. They have pushed me and loved me through this amazing opportunity. Coach Bruna has set an example that has prepared me to play volleyball at the next level. I will always be thankful for her stepping up to take this job and supporting me. Coach Dickey has been very welcoming to my family and I. He made my decision to pick Coastal Alabama a lot easier. God led me to my home away from home. I am so thankful for this opportunity. Go ‘yotes!”
