The month of October is a time to recognize Head Start Awareness Month, an emphasis which aims to spread awareness about a crucial program benefiting millions of families across the United States. Throughout the month, Lowndes County Head Start programs have and will continue to celebrate with members of the community during special events such as Head Start T-shirt Day, Retired Staff/Alumni Day, Community Partners Day, and Elected Officials Day.
