Recognized for her outstanding character and hard work in the classroom, Keishunna Walker has been named Decembers recipient of the Character In Action Award.
Walker is a senior at Central High School and is the reigning 2021-2022 Miss Central High School.
“Keishunna is an outstanding student with great academic achievement, outstanding student involvement, and praise worthy behavior,” Shatara Clark, Walker’s teacher, said.
Clark said Walker is the oldest of her siblings and strives to be a good role model for them.
Walker excels in her high school classes and is completing duel enrollment classes through Wallace Community College and studying medical assisting at Trenholm State Community College.
Walker serves as parliamentarian for FBLA, works with the JROTC program and serves as a Golden Ambassador.
“Keishunna demonstrates outstanding character in all that she does, and has the highest respect and regard for her teachers and peers.,” Clark wrote on the nomination form. “She never hesitates to assist where she is needed.”
Walker plans to continue her education after graduation and study nursing at Lawson State Community College.
