Lowndes teams suffer losses Friday
Neither of the teams in Lowndes County got the W Friday night on the road.
Central-Hayneville traveled to Headland where the Rams defeated the Lions 27-8.
It was all Headland for the first three quarters.
Headland’s Ty Dailey scored in the first quarter on a four-yard run.
In the second quarter, Headland’s Carter Williams scored on a 45-yard run in the second quarter.
The Rams went up 27-0 in the third quarter when Andre Galloway scored a three-yard run and Luke Nelson got a 54-yard run.
The Lions were able to score in fourth on a fumble return from a bad snap from the Rams.
Lowndes Academy lost 8-31 on the road at Abbeville Christian.
This week, Central Hayneville will play host to Marengo County’s A.L. Johnson.
A.L. Johnson is 0-1 on the season.
This week’s game will be for each team’s first win over the season and first region game.
The Rebels of Lowndes Academy hope to get a win over Chambers Academy this week.
The Rebels are 1-2 on the season with losses to Macon-East, a win due to a forfeit from Meadowview Christian and the loss to Abbeville Christian.
