The Office of the Secretary of State will host a mobile unit in Lowndes County next month to register voters and issue free Photo Voter ID cards.
The office visits all 67 counties at least once each year to register voters and issue Photo IDs.
“We try to go to an area that will be highly visited or recommended by either a Legislative member that represents that area or a County Probate judge,” Press Secretary Grace Newcombe said. “It’s an effort to reach the most amount of people in that area as possible.”
The event will be held from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 11, at the Mosses Town Hall located at 1 Mosses Park Cir., in Hayneville, AL.
Voter registration forms will be available to register or update voter information.
