Chris Edgar and the Fort Deposit Arts Council have opened Calico Fort to Hurricane Michael evacuees campers with free electricity and water.
Edgar said the Arts Council called RV parks to let them know Calico Fort has space available with the free utilities. He said about 15 campers are currently taking advantage of the opportunity.
Edgar and the Arts Council fed the campers lunch today with barbecue, potato salad, potato chips, brownies, water and tea with the food coming from Front Porch Barbecue and Priester’s Pecans in Fort Deposit.
