Attending the meeting were Walker, Council members Ceodis Baker, Joyce Barnfield, Elizabeth Davis and Ruby Rudolph.

Temporary Town Clerk Felicia Perry told the council that the bank had a problem with a previous council resolution to reinstate an old water account for the town, and requested a resolution to open a new water account and required three signatures on all accounts.

She said that was because the bank, “wanted to make sure everybody was in one accord.”

The resolution to open a new water account was unanimously approved. And Perry told the Signal that signatures for the town, Walker, Council members Rudolph and Seaborn could sign at the bank.

Mayor James Walker asked council members for water member recommendations. Davis recommended Charlie Walker and Baker recommended Ellis Bandy.

All council members present also voted to go into executive session to discuss good name and character of an employee, following which Walker said there was no issue on which to report.

The council members also all approved the minutes of the July 7 meeting.
