Varsity girls improve to 6-1,Lowndes Academy gets split results with Fort Dale

The Lowndes Academy Lady Rebels varsity defeated Fort Dale 45-28 at home Friday, Dec. 12 to improve their record to 6-1 while the Rebels boys varsity fell 66-54 to Fort Dale to go to 2-4 on the season.
Lady Rebels head basketball coach Jeff Lovell said, “Defense sparked the Lady Rebels forcing 30 turnovers.”
Balanced scoring on offense was led by Abby Ray with 15 points, Sara Anna McIntosh with 10 and Taylor King with nine.
Fort Dale was led by Anna Blake Langford with 10 points and Madison Ann Gaston with eight.
In varsity boys actions the Lowndes Academy Rebels were led by Wade Howard with 25 points and David Hussey with 14. Alex Thrash scored five points for the Rebels.
Lowndes Academy will next face South Montgomery Christian Academy away on Monday, Dec. 14.
