Caravan to stop DL office closings comes to Hayneville

A caravan is scheduled to visit 11 Alabama Black Belt Counties, including Lowndes, and the state capitol Thursday and Friday, Oct. 22nd and 23rd, to meet with local leaders to stop the shutdowns driver’s license offices, according to a press release from State Sen. Hank Sanders.
The media and the public are encouraged to attend the event, which scheduled for Thursday at 12:30 p.m. in Hayneville at 105 E. Tuskeena St.
The caravan is being led by SOS (the Save OurSelves Movement for Justice and Democracy.
