Both the Central High Lions and Calhoun Tigers ended the 2014 season with losses on the road Friday night.
Central fell to Keith on the road 26-14 to go 2-7 overall and 1-6 in in Class 2A Area 3.
Calhoun fell to Francis Marion on the road 40-12 to go 1-9 overall and 1-6 in Class 2A Area 3.
After getting off to a “great” start, according to Calhoun head football coach Dewayne Williams, leading into the second quarter, Calhoun began to suffer injuries.
For Calhoun Jemarcus Davison threw a 30-yard pass to Jemarcus Rhimes. And Davison scored on 10 yard touchdown run.
Williams said the Tigers ultimately fell Friday due a “pile up” of injuries.
He said Davison was injured in the game last week with Central. And Arthur Phifer and Jamichael Jordan were injured in the game at Francis Marion.
He said the injuries affected the Tigers’ running and passing.
Details of Central-Keith game are not available at this time.
