Drug related arrests made in Fort Deposit

A month long investigation by the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department Special Operations Unit led to the arrest of two suspects on drugs charges and the recovery of stolen property in Fort Deposit, Friday.
According to a Special Operations official, along with the help of the Fort Deposit Police Department, a search warrant was served on Edgewood Drive in the city limits of Fort Deposit.
The search warrant was in reference to the distribution of illegal narcotics. And there was property recovered that was later confirmed to be stolen.
According to the official, the property had been taken during a burglary in Fort Deposit earlier this week.
The Special Operations Unit reports Kelsey Tremayne McDonald, 22, was charged with two counts of Unlawful Distribution Of A Controlled Substance and Antonio Demond McDonald, 28, was charged with one count Of Distribution Of A Controlled Substance that stem from the Investigation.
The Special Operations Unit reports both suspects are from Fort Deposit.
In addition the Special Operations Unit reports, Kelsey McDonald faces drug related charges in Tuscaloosa County. And Antonio McDonald will face two charges for receiving stolen property in the second degree for the property that was recovered.
