After falling to Highland Home 28-12 in their season opener on the road Friday night, Central head football coach James Bibb Jr. said his team is even younger than he actually thought they were.
Bibb explained that he meant his team has a long way to go. While he said his kids have a lot of athleticism, he said, that also have a “lack of game experience and a lack of football experience,” which he said “really showed tonight.”
The standout player for the Lions on offense was Marcus Mitchell who ran 60 yards for a score and who caught a 10-yard pass from Alex Bryant for a score.
Central, 0-1 in regional play, will host regional opponent Elba at home next Friday, Sept. 12.
