Thanks to the cooperation of the community, an arrest has been made and a suspect developed for recent burglaries in the White Hall area.

Sgt. M. V. Green, an investigator with the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office, said last Wednesday, March 19, there were reports of three burglaries in the 100 block of Park Lane in White Hall.

He said a travel trailer was damaged and items were stolen including snacks and bottled water from a concession stand and storage area of a ball field.

Green said through the “diligence” of Deputies J. Fletcher and M. Waldo, all three scenes were secured as well as the evidence. And, he said, a suspect was developed from “talking with the community.”

He said a confession was taken and a juvenile was arrested and charged on the same day with two of the three burglaries. He also said pending the processing of the evidence, the juvenile is also a suspect in the third burglary.

Green said, however, as of Tuesday, the third burglary remains “an open case.”
