He pleaded not guilty and waived his arraignment, which had been set for Feb. 26. But, he was set to appear in court on the motions docket Monday, March 3.

While Hill’s case is being handled by the State Attorney General’s Office, Lowndes County District Attorney Charlotte M. Tesmer said Hill’s attorney could not be present.

“Now, our office is not involved in that prosecution,” Tesmer said, “it’s the attorney general’s office.”

Tesmer said Monday, March 3 was the first motions docket and the next is March 24. She said, “Any case that is not resolved that date will be put on the April 7th docket for trial.

According to a copy of Hill’s waiver of arraignment, he is being represented by Julian McPhillips and Christopher Worsheck of Montgomery.
