The Central High School Lady Lions fell to The Montgomery Academy 71-38 on the road in a Class 2A sub-regional contest Thursday.

Central High School Lady Lions head basketball coach Trent Woodley said Kendreuna McPherson was his top player on the day, who scored 25 points.

Woodley said he felt overall his “young team” played pretty well this year. He said a lot his players who had never started before, started for him this season.

However, Woodley said of McPherson, “If I had to choose an MVP, she would be it.”

The Lady Lions closed out the year with a 16-12 record.
