The Lowndes Academy varsity boys and girls advanced in the first round of the AISA 2A region 2 basketball tournament held at Wilcox Academy in Camden Friday.
The girls won over Russell Christian 56-38 and will play Saturday at 2 p.m.
The boys won over Southern 53-17 and will play tomorrow Saturday at 3:15 p.m.
