Central wins, Calhoun falls in home basketball action

Central defeated Highland Home at Central 73-40 while Calhoun fell to Luverne 55-67 at Calhoun tonight (Friday) in boys varsity basketball action.
Central improved to 13-7, 4-1 on the season.
Top scorers for Central were Edmond Johnson with 15 points, T.J. Saffold and Markeazz Holcombe with 13 each and Marcus Mitchell with 10.
Central will host Lanier at home Monday.
For Calhoun, Jamine Jordan scored 22 points and Jamarcus Davison scored 16.
For Luverne Dontae Hall scored 20 while Deanthony Rutledge poured in 23.
Calhoun will host Highland Home on Thursday.
The Central Girls defeated Highland Home 53-38 to improve to 13-7, 4-1 on the season.
Top scorer’s for Central were T. McGhee with 12 points, R. Rudolph with 10 and O. Gordon with 10.
