The Calhoun Tigers found the going a bit rough on the road at Elba for a regional tilt, falling 43-0 Friday night.

About the only highlight for Calhoun this night was the play of Jamarcus Davison, who racked up 120 yards receiving from quarterback Jamine Jordan.
However, new head football coach Dewayne Williams said Davison suffered a concussion and was not able to play in the second half.

Williams, who recently stepped into the breach upon the resignation of third year head football coach Bill Williamson, chalked this lopsided loss up to lack of preparation due to basketball tryouts.

The Tigers will have to regroup and get ready to host their archrivals the Central Lions this coming Friday night in another regional encounter.
Calhoun is now 1-7. 1-5 while Elba improved to 5-4, 5-1.
