Garrett Headley scored a touchdown on a 65-yard run, Cody Harrell scored on a 25-yard-run and Corey Lowe scored on a 10-yard-run for the Lowndes Academy Rebels Friday night in a kind of mix-and-match football jamboree played at home.
In this jamboree two teams played as one side, according to assistant football coach Frank McIntosh, one on offense and one on defense.
He said Lowndes Academy was teamed with East Memorial Christian Academy and defeated the combination of South Montgomery County Academy and Evangel Christian Academy by a pretty big margin.
The Rebels, under the direction of head football coach Matt Marshall, played offense the first and third quarters and defense the second and fourth quarters without giving up any points.
The real season begins for the Rebels on Friday, Aug. 30 with state runner up Clarke Prep at home.
