Pioneer Electric is reporting a reduction in power outages in Lowndes County from a high of 872 following Tuesday afternoon’s storms to 191 as of about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Angela Green, communications specialist for Pioneer Electric, said the outages are in the Henderson Landing area of the county.
Lowndes County Emergency Management Agency Director David Butts said there were a couple of trees down on Lowndes County Road 46, a tree fell on a mobile home and couple of trailers in the Henderson Landing area as a result of yesterday’s storm. But he said there were no roads closed.
At the height of the storm outages Pioneer Electric reported 6,000 customers without power on its system.
