Wil-Low Dollars for Scholars awards scholarships to 17 local students

The Wil-Low Dollars for Scholars Community Foundation awarded 17 local scholarships during its 18th annual scholarship awards program held May 7 at the Hayneville Plaza Grand Ballroom in Hayneville.
According to the Wil-Low Dollars for Scholars Board, this year’s theme was “Living the Dream.”
Scholarships ranged from $500 – $1,000, and the keynote speaker for this year’s awards program was Dr. Henry J. Findlay, director of the continuing education program at Tuskegee University.
The Wil-Low Dollars for Scholars Board congratulates the 2013 scholarship recipients. The board also expresses its sincere appreciation to businesses, churches, organizations, individuals, parents, students, board of education and volunteers for their contributions.
The board also extends special thanks to the Tuskegee University Cooperative Extension Program for their continuous commitment to scholarships.
