Greenville varsity tops Calhoun in overtime

The Greenville Tigers defeated the Calhoun Tigers in varsity boys basketball action 82-76 Saturday night in a contest that went to overtime in Letohatchee.
DeAngelo Miles led the Calhoun Tigers with 15 points, Jeffery Moss scored 12 and Jamarcus Davison added 11.
But the star of the night was Greenville’s Javarrius Cheatham who led the visiting Tigers with 32 points.
Also for Greenville Marvin Davidson scored 14 and Kent Riley 12.
Calhoun, which dropped to 13 – 10, will play at Southside on
Tuesday. Greenville improved to 11-12.
Saturday night was also senior night for Calhoun. Senior boys included Rico Knight and Deangelo Miles. Senior girls inclouded Alexis McCall, Jasmine Means, Deidra Patterson and cheerleaderJaylin Shuford.
In junior varsity boys action, Calhoun topped Greenville 52-43. D. Haygood and D. Smith led Calhoun with 11 and 12 points respectively.
DaRaylin McGrew led Greenville with 17 points.
Calhoun and Greenville share 13-5 records.
The Greenville Lady Tigers defeated the Calhoun Lady Tigers 42-35.
Tankevia Durant led Greenville with 10 points. Jasmine Means led Calhoun with 10 and Valenciya Allen had 9. Calhoun fell to 6-14 while Greenville improved to 7-9.
