Letohatchee woman dies as a result of accident

A Letohatchee woman died Monday at UAB Hospital of injuries she received Sunday in a crash involving three vehicles, according to State Troopers.

The crash occurred at about noon Sunday on U.S. 31 five miles south of Hope Hull, according to Trooper Charles J. Dysart.

“Joyce Hall Maddox, 77, was driving a 2001 Lincoln Town Car that was involved in a crash with a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Abe Royal Wright, 58, of Hope Hull and a 2008 Range Rover driven by Vickie Ann Wilsford, 48, also of Hope Hull,” Dysart said. “Both Wright and Wilsford were injured and transported to local hospitals.”
