Past due water customers in Lowndesboro have until Saturday to make arrangements to clear up their accounts or face water cutoff Monday.

The Lowndesboro Town Council agreed at it regular March meeting held Monday night that past due water customers must have “an approved payment plan” to clear up their accounts by this Saturday or face being cutoff on Monday.

“They need to have some plan to get their balance to zero,” Mayor Rick Pate said.

Town Clerk Christie McCord said she would be available to past due water customers at Town Hall  (the Marengo House), from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday.  She said she may be contacted by calling Town Hall at 334-278-3434.

Pate said what the town wants is for past due customers to pay up their water bills.
