Central falls to Highland Home

Joshua Rudolph rushes the ball for Central.

The Central-Hayneville Lions’ season got off to a rough start with a 68-14 loss to Highland Home.

The Lions got on the board with just over three minutes left in the third quarter when Travelle Perryman ran in from two yards out to make the score 62-6.

Halfway through the fourth quarter, the Lions got another touchdown by virtue of a 35-yard run.

Assistant head coach James Bibb said that Central has a lot of improving to do.

“We’re going to have to have a total team effort,” he said. “We had too many individuals out there.  It takes 11 playing as a team to win.”
