A manhunt in Lowndes County resulted in the arrest of a man for theft of property on Monday night.
Sheriff John Williams said Jason Lanier Patrick, 31, of Montgomery was charged with theft of property, first degree, after a manhunt involving state troopers, the state helicopter, state tracking team, Lowndes and Montgomery County Sheriff’s Offices.
Williams said the man stole truck parts from John Farrior in the Letohatchee area. He said Farrior chased the man up Interstate 65 to the 162 exit where the man left the road and fled into the woods. He said he was apprehended in an industrial park.
Williams said the man was in a jeep with a little two-wheel trailer and stole truck parts such as hoods and fenders.
