Siren test planned for Wednesday

Lowndes County emergency warning sirens are back in operation and a full-scale test is planned countywide at 12 noon on Wednesday, June 1, according to Lowndes County Emergency Management Agency Director Walter Hill.
Hill said the sirens are located in Fort Deposit, White Hall, Mosses, Tawassee Point, Calhoun and Dutchbend.
He said Wednesday will be the first day of hurricane season.
