Free medical care is available to residents of Lowndes County this week in Hayneville.

Military personnel will be in Hayneville from May 3-10 at Town Hall to provide free eye exams, free eye glasses, free dental care and medical care for aches, pains, injuries and other medical conditions, as well as, medical screenings.

According to Ronnie Daniels, project director for the town of Hayneville, the care is being offered as part of the Innovative Readiness Training by the U.S. Military and Delta Regional Authority, which provides real world training opportunities for service members and units to prepare them for their wartime missions while supporting the needs of America’s underserved communities.
