A $5,000 Mid-South Resource Conservation and Development Grant means new computers, printers, flashlights, ammunition and more for the Fort Deposit Police Department.
Acting Police Chief Brandon Thomas said the computers help the department prepare reports without having to put them on paper.
He called the grant a “great asset” for our department.
The RC&D grant was received in January, and the last of the equipment arrived on March 18, according to Thomas.
Purchased were three Dell computers two HP all in one printers, four LED Stinger flashlights, a case of handgun ammunition, a Kenwood mobile card radio, an LCD television, paper shredder and a water cooler for the office.
