Three Hayneville men face murder charges in the shooting death of 20-year-old Sierra Chapman.
Chapman was killed by gunfire inside an apartment at the John Hulett Townhome complex Oct. 19.
Lionel Surles Jr., 22; Princeton S. Moorer, 20; and LeChristian Denario Surles, 21; all of Hayneville, were arrested Oct. 21 on charges of murder and shooting into an occupied dwelling, said Hayneville Police Chief Kelvin Mitchell.
“The suspects were shooting at another individual,” Mitchell said. “The young lady was an innocent bystander.”
The three men are each being held on $150,000 bonds at the Lowndes County Detention Facility.
The Alabama Bureau of Investigation and the Lowndes County Sheriff‘s Department are assisting the investigation.
