Casino developers in Lowndes County will need a “whole new game plan” should this legislative session end without a bingo bill as expected, said Leslie Clark, registered agent of Southern Star Entertainment Center.
“As far as construction goes, I am moving ahead with it,” Clark said. “We will be done with construction in 3 to 4 weeks.”

However, with the electronic bingo debate still not settled, Clark said the future of the casino is uncertain.
He said has kept out of the politics of electronic bingo and doesn’t know what the latest news from Montgomery means for the facility.
Instead, Clark said his main concern has been completing construction of the facility on US 80 in White Hall.
Plans for the development include 450 electronic bingo machines and a restaurant.
Thursday marks the close of the current legislative session and the final opportunity for a bingo bill to appear on ballots in November.
