* Whitehall: $16,212;

* Lowndesboro: $16,212;

* Hickshill/Blackbelt: $20,212;

* Sandy Ridge: $20,000; and

* Collirene: $39,671.

Commissioners approved use of a voting machine by the Town of Fort Deposit and voted to give $1,000 to Hearts of Angels.

After much discussion, the commission tabled a vote to appoint Kimberly West to the E-9-1-1 Board. West was nominated for the position to represent District 4, but the commission requested clarification from County Attorney Prince Chestnut regarding the number of board members needed before casting their vote.

One other item on County Administrator Jacquelyn Thomas’s consent agenda was tabled: approval of a consultant’s contract for the tax assessor’s office. Commissioner Robert Harris questioned the salary amount for the consultant and the group requested the salary amount be added to the contract before voting could take place.

The Lowndes County Commission will hold its next meeting July 14 at 10 a.m.
