Lowndes County students honored at UA

The University of Alabama (UA) conveyed honors on more than 14,000 students enrolled in the spring 2025 semester. Among them were Lowndes County students named to the college’s Dean’s and President’s lists.
Cledeja Brown of Hope Hull and Damaria Johnson of Lowndesboro were named to the UA Dean’s List for maintaining an academic record of 3.5 or above.
Piper Haskell of Hope Hull, who attends Alabama Connections Academy, earned high honors as one of 508 UA Early College students named to the Director’s List for obtaining a 3.6 or higher grade point average throughout the semester.
The University of Alabama is the state’s flagship university with a focus on teaching, research and service. Over 200-degree programs are available on its Tuscaloosa campus.
