Forest Friends
The Lowndes County Alabama Extension Office will host Friends of the Forest for 4th – 5th graders May 2, 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Holy Ground Battlefield Park in Lowndesboro. Learners will discover about native trees and animals, careers in Forestry and safety on rivers and lakes. Call Tana Shealey at (334) 548-2315.
Wellness Tour
The Lowndes County A Tour of Wellness Event is set to take place Saturday, May 3, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Calhoun School in Letohatchee. Shape Singing
The Annual Program of the South Alabama Seven Shape Singing Convention is set for May 3, 3 p.m. at the Convention Center – 11339 Luverne and Greenville Highway, Greenville. The them is Psalm 127:1. Each class is asked for a liberal donation of $25.

Pre-K Program
First Years Child Development Center, First Class Pre-K offers a free 4-year-old program from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. for working parents and 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for non-working parents. Classes start in August. Space is limited. Call Katina Surles at (334) 281-8627 for more information.
LCUWP Applications
The Lowndes County Unincorporated Wastewater Project is accepting applications for septic system installation or repair at its office located at 507 W. Tuskeena Street in Hayneville. Call (334) 548-2006 or stop by Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for an application.
Head Start

DAV Meetings

Hope Inspired Ministries will hold its Lowndes County High School graduation ceremony Thursday, May 8, 11 a.m. at Great Mount Olive A.M.E. Zion Church in Hayneville.
Graduate Walk
Head Start students who are transitioning into public school will walk alongside the graduating seniors from Central High School in a symbolic walk before the graduation ceremony May 15, 8:30 a.m. Community members are invited to attend this meaningful moment.
