The clock is running down on the high school sports season and the Lowndes County Athlete of the Year contest. Fans and supporters have just a few hours left to cast their vote for the student-athlete who will represent their school and the 4-5 for the school year.
The Lowndes Signal and Lowndes County Athletics have partnered all year to highlight our young men and women in the Athlete of the Week contest. Each weekly winner is eligible for votes in the Athlete of the Year contest, and one winner from each high school will be chosen, based on your votes, to represent their school’s athletic program.
Thanks to the help of The Calhoun School, Lowndes Academy and Central High School, Hayneville and our sponsors Blackbelt Unincorporated Wastewater Project and Beeline150, we have an opportunity to encourage student-athletes and reward their dedication.
Vote now at to www.lowndessignal.com/contests. Return to vote once every hour until noon, April 25. Winners will be announced in the May 15 edition of The Lowndes Signal.
