JaKobian Davis has been voted Lowndes County Athlete of the Week for Week 24. He is a senior at Central High School where he plays baseball for the Lions. He hit a home run, a single and a double in Central’s game against Autaugaville.
Davis earned Athlete of the Week by capturing 43%,152 out of 353 votes cast in the contest.
Catie Wallace Self from Lowndes Academy and Makayla Saffold from The Calhoun School School were also nominated for their athleticism and setting the standard for excellence on and off the field. Congratulations to Wallace and Saffold for being nominated this week.
Athlete of the Week is made possible by the joint efforts of The Lowndes Signal and Lowndes County Public Schools Athletic Director Ervin Starr and sponsors, the Black Belt Unincorporated Wastewater Program and the Hayneville QV, as well as the cooperation of the coaches and administration of Central High School, Lowndes Academy, and The Calhoun School.
