Students have returned to classrooms and athletic programs after enjoying a break to welcome spring. That means communities are getting back on track to support student athletes by voting for their favorite standout in the Lowndes County Athlete of the Week contest. 

The Lowndes Signal and Lowndes County Athletics are partnering to highlight our young men and women in the Athlete of the Week contest. Thanks to the help of Calhoun Lighthouse, Lowndes Academy and Central High School, Hayneville and our sponsors Blackbelt Unincorporated Wastewater Project and Beeline 150 in Hayneville, we have an opportunity to encourage student-athletes and reward their dedication.

Voting for round 24 resumes this week. Vote beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday at www.lowndessignal.com/contests. Return to vote once every hour until Tuesday at noon.
