Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

By Dunford Cole

It’s the Second Sunday of Lent. I hope you are experiencing a spiritual awakening as we journey toward Easter. In Psalm 91, we read, “He is my refuge and my fortress.”

For me, Sundays begin around 5 a.m. I love being the first to arrive at the church. In that stillness, when it’s just God and me, I can hear the gentle hum of the church and feel the presence of the Holy Spirit. That quiet time prepares me to put my entire being into the service. Where is your safe place? Is it your home, your church, or perhaps a quiet spot where you can escape the world’s noise and be alone with God?

During this Lenten season, take time to seek that refuge, whether it’s a physical space or the stillness within your heart, where you can draw closer to the One who offers ultimate shelter. As we reflect on Christ’s sacrifice, may we find strength in His promise to be our fortress, guiding us through Lent and beyond!
