Update: the roadway reopened around 9 p.m.
A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 4:47 p.m. Saturday, March. 8, has caused a lane closure.
The right southbound lane of Interstate 65 near the 158-mile marker in Lowndes County is currently blocked and will be for an undetermined amount of time.
Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division are currently on scene investigating and will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates accordingly.
