Athlete of the Week round 21 is open, and the contest is the community’s opportunity to support the student athletes representing Lowndes County. With basketball season winding down and softball/base season gearing up, fans can cheer on their favorite student-athlete in the bleachers while casting their vote online.

Nominated for recognition this week are Jerdarius Davis from Central High School, Lowndes Academy’s Alice Mackenzie Kreder and Taylor Robertson, student-athlete at The Calhoun School.

The Lowndes Signal and Lowndes County Athletics are partnering to highlight our young men and women in the Athlete of the Week contest. Thanks to the help of Calhoun Lighthouse, Lowndes Academy and Central High School, Hayneville and our sponsors Blackbelt Unincorporated Wastewater Project and Hayneville QV, we have an opportunity to encourage student-athletes and reward their dedication.
