Tax Holiday
Alabama’s Severe Weather Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday is set for Feb. 21 – 23. Eligible items include batteries, weather radios, flashlights, tarps, plywood, coolers, first aid kits, smoke/carbon monoxide detectors and other items under $60 plus portable generators and cords under $1,000. Game Supper

Pre-K Program
First Years Child Development Center, First Class Pre-K offers a free 4-year-old program from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. for working parents and 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for non-working parents. Classes start in August. Space is limited. Call Katina Surles at (334) 281-8627 for more information.
LCUWP Applications
The Lowndes County Unincorporated Wastewater Project is accepting applications for septic system installation or repair at its office located at 507 W. Tuskeena Street in Hayneville. Call (334) 548-2006 or stop by Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for an application.
Head Start

Career Expo
The Lowndes County Career Technical Center is hosting a Career Fair for 10 – 11th graders, Feb. 28 at 9 a.m. The event, hosted by The Calhoun School, offers rotating industry stations for students to explore.

The Lowndes County Extension Office is planning its annual tree giveaway Friday, Feb. 28 from 9 – 11 a.m. at the Hayneville Towns Square in front of the courthouse.
DAV Meetings

Quilt Gallery
