The Lowndes Academy Lady Rebels are on track for a race to another Alabama Independent School Association Class AA basketball championship. After besting Macon East Academy on Feb. 7, the varsity girls were slated to meet Restoration Wednesday, 3 p.m. at the Cramton Bowl Multiplex. The winner of that matchup advances to the Final Four Thursday to take on the victory of Wednesday’s game between Fort Dale and Southern. At press time, the outcome of Wednesday’s games was not yet available.

The Rebels’ varsity boys ended their season on a positive note, winning their last game against Macon East, 49-40. After a season of no wins, the victory left the Rebels at 1-10 overall and 0-6 in the region.
