All Lowndes County offices will open at noon Thursday. But all Lowndes County public and private schools Pub will be closed Thursday.

Lowndes Academy and the Lowndes County Public School System have announced they will be closed on Jan. 18.

Lowndes County Engineer and EMA Director David Butts said, “Lowndes County roads and bridges are deemed impassible until tomorrow morning. All county offices are open at 12 noon tomorrow.”
